MISSING GIRL IN SAN LUIS OBISPO LOCATED ALIVE

Santa Barbara County Search And Rescue and County Air Support Unit Copter 3
participated in a massive search for missing 12-year-old Mikayla Anderson of Arroyo Grande. Anderson has been located alive following an all-day search by four county search and rescue teams, six K-9 units, several mounted (horse) teams, two helicopters, and one airplane.
Anderson was last seen on Thursday afternoon. After she did not return in the evening following a planned horseback ride, family contacted emergency personnel.
Santa Barbara County Search And Rescue teams left Santa Barbara at 5:00 a.m., beginning what would be an 11-hour workday. Teams searched the area on foot, quads, and a specialty Polaris RZR ATV.
Santa Barbara County Search And Rescue is an all-volunteer unit of the Sheriff's Office. The team consists of 38 members, including 25 Emergency Medical Technicians and 10 Tracking Technicians.
