Type of Incident: Missing Person

Date & Time of Incident: 2-14-13, Approximately 4:15 PM

Victim Information: Mikayla Anderson, 12, Arroyo Grande

Details of News Release:

On 2-14-13, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office received a report of a missing 12 year old girl from Arroyo Grande. Mikayla Anderson was last seen leaving Paulding Middle School. It was reported Anderson was going horseback riding at her grandmother's home in the Huasna area. At approximately 5:50, deputies found her horse, but not the girl. The Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue unit has been called out as well as two Sheriff's K9 units and a helicopter. Anderson is described as a 12-year-old white female, 5'3, 105 pounds, brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a reddish-blue flannel shirt with a blue sweatshirt, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes. If the public has any information on the whereabouts of Mikayla Anderson, please call the Sheriff's Office at 781- 4550.
