Details of News Release: On 2-11-13, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office received a report that a fixed wing, single engine aircraft made an emergency landing near Volpi Ysabel Road in Templeton. The pilot reported the plane's engine lost power and he had to glide the plane down and make an emergency landing. There was only one person on board the plane, the pilot. Except for a few scrapes the pilot was not hurt. The Sheriff's Office is securing the scene. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are sending representatives to investigate the crash.
