U.S. HIGHWAY 101 RAMPS AT SANTA BARBARA ROAD SCHEDULED TO OPEN NEXT WEEK
ATASCADERO - The northbound Hwy. 101 on/off ramps at Santa Barbara Road are expected to re-open
on the evening of Wednesday, Jan. 23, weather permitting. These ramps were closed for a paving
operation.
The southbound Hwy. 101 on/off ramps at Santa Barbara Road are now open but will be subject to
periodic daytime and overnight closures.
These closures are part of the Atascadero Rehabilitation project which includes the re-paving of 11
miles of Hwy. 101 from north of the Cuesta Grade to Traffic Way. The contractor for this $25 million
project is Papich Construction of Pismo Beach, CA. It is expected to be completed in mid 2013.
Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction
zones.
