HIGHWAY 166 BRIDGE REPLACEMENT/REALIGNMENT BEGINS NEXT WEEK
SAN LUIS OBIPSO COUNY - A project to realign a portion of Hwy. 166 and rebuild the Gifford Creek
Bridge approximately 25 miles west of New Cuyama will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 15.
Motorists will encounter one-way reversing traffic control, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm.
Motorists can expect a delay not to exceed 15 minutes.
Electronic message boards have been posted to inform the public about this project.
The contractor for this $2.1 million project is Souza Construction of San Luis Obispo, CA.
Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction
zones.
