UPDATED ON DECEMBER 22, 2012: Marc (NMN) Steele, who was being sought by the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s
Office for arrest warrants, and ramming a Sheriff’s K-9 unit during an attempted arrest
on December 14, 2012, turned himself in to Sheriff’s Custody staff at San Luis Obispo
County Jail at about 7:00 pm on Friday, December 21, 2012 without incident.
Steele remains in custody for warrants, including a “no-bail” warrant for felon in
possession of a firearm. The investigation into the incident which occurred on December
14, 2012, is continuing.

Details of News Release:
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office is attempting to locate Marc (NMN) Steele. He is currently
wanted for felony and misdemeanor warrants stemming from possession of firearms and resisting
arrest. Additionally, Sheriff's Deputies and members of the Sheriff's Narcotic Unit attempted to contact
and arrest Steele on December 14, 2012, in the 9900 block of West Front in Atascadero, but Steele fled
the area in a vehicle after ramming a Sheriff's K-9 unit. Marc Steele is a 37 year old, white male, 5'9",
approximately 150 pounds, with short brown hair and green eyes. Detectives say he was last seen
driving a silver 1993 Lexus 4 door sedan, CA license 3CDL038. The vehicle has unknown damage. Steele
is known to frequent North San Luis Obispo County and the Coast area. Steele currently has two
outstanding arrest warrants, one "no bail" felony warrant for felon in possession of a firearm, and one
$2,000.00 misdemeanor warrant for resisting arrest. Based on the most recent contact, Detectives
consider him to be armed and dangerous. Detectives are asking that anyone with information regarding
Marc Steele's whereabouts contact the Sheriff's Office at (805) 781-4550. Additionally, Crime Stoppers
is offering a $1,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this individual.
Citizens can remain anonymous by calling 549-STOP or by visiting the Crime Stoppers web site at
www.SLOTIPS.org. They may also text their tip information by texting "SLOTIPS plus your message" to
CRIMES (274637). A Wanted Person flyer is being sent to media outlets via e-mail that includes a photo
of Steele and details regarding his physical appearance and listed criminal offenses.

It sounded crazy when I first heard it, "If cocaine were legal, there would be no meth. It is the poor mans cocaine." Coke is bad news, but nothing compared to meth. Hope they catch this guy.

Yuk! there's nothing worse than a meth-head - oh, wait, yes there is: a meth-head with a gun! Dangerous! Another reason guns need tighter control - there are too many people like this loser who get their hands on guns. Is it fair on the people who are responsible with their guns? No! Are they ruining it for everyone else? Absolutely.
