Place of Occurrence: Montana De Oro State Park

Victim Information: Gewynn Mariann Taylor - 81yrs. Los Osos

Suspect Information: George Leigh Taylor - 86yrs. Los Osos

Details of News Release: On Monday, 12-10-12 at approximately 11:26 pm Montana DE Oro State Park Rangers made contact with the driver of a vehicle occupied by two people. Subsequent investigation revealed that the passenger of the vehicle was deceased. Assistance was requested from the Sheriff's Office and Sheriff's Patrol, Detectives, Coroner's and Crime Scene Investigators responded. The driver was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Further investigation led to his arrest for homicide. This investigation is on-going. There are no suspects outstanding. No further information will be released at this time.
