SUSPECT: Jason Andrew Lytle, 28 years old, Resident of San Luis Obispo

On November 16, 2012 Lytle was arrested by the Miami Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Lytle is facing Federal charges related to the possession and distribution of child pornography.

Lytle is still facing charges in California and it is not known if he will be extradited.

On July 31, 2012 at approximately 9:00 AM the San Luis Obispo Police Department served a search warrant at the above location. Police investigators received information that Jason Lytle had downloaded child pornography onto his computer. Lytle is a registered sex offender in the City of San Luis Obispo and failed to respond to the police department when contacted.

At the conclusion of the service of the search warrant, multiple electronic devices were removed from the location. A forensic examination of the computers revealed a substantial amount of child pornography.

Lytle has not returned to his apartment and his current location is unknown. Based on the evidence seized at Lytle's apartment a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
