Butterflies at El Camino Park Ventura

Stopped by El Camino Park in Ventura to see if the Monarchs had arrived and they have. About 10 clumps
of butterflies attached to the eucalyptus trees and a lot fluttering around. I also found one Red Admiral on
the fence. Now I'm anxious to check out Elwood Park in Goleta to see if they've arrived there as well.

Thank you for this lovely reminder of a fascinating life cycle that we are privileged to witness every year.

These beautiful ethereal creatures, so delicate yet strong enough to fly for such long distances remind me of the quote, "Gentleness is like the wind which slips into the cracks of even the hardest boards".
